Detail your services

I use a collaborative, client-centered, strengths-based, trauma-informed  approach to help clients achieve goals related to living a healthy,  satisfying life. I have a particular interest in working with trauma,  including single incidents, recurring events, relational dynamics, and  other distressing or disturbing events that can overwhelm our nervous  system and impact our ability to experience well-being. I also work with  a variety of other concerns including anxiety, depression, and life  transitions.

Our work together begins with taking time to  understand the hopes and concerns bringing you to counseling. Then,  together we identify a treatment approach that is tailored to your  unique situation, goals, and needs.

I am trained in several  trauma-specific treatment approaches including two different methods of  EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Clinical EFT  tapping (Emotional Freedom Techniques); Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and  Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. As appropriate, I may  incorporate elements of other treatment approaches such as  person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral  therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, Circle of Security, and  motivational interviewing.

I have a master’s degree in Mental  Health Counseling from the University of Montana, and I am licensed as a  Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (BBH-LCPC-LIC-1603) in the  State of Montana.

I am an in-network provider multiple insurance companies:

  • Aetna
  • Allegiance
  • BlueCross BlueShield
  • Cigna
  • First Choice Health Network
  • Medicaid
  • Medicare
  • Missoula County Employee Benefits Plan (MCEBP)
  • Mountain Health Coop
  • Pacific Source Health Plans
  • Worker's Compensation (OWCP WCMBP)

NOTICE OF RIGHTS UNDER THE NO SURPRISES ACT

In  compliance with the No Surprises Act that went into effect January 1,  2022, all healthcare providers are required to notify clients of their  federal rights and protections against potential “surprise billing.”  Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t  have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill  for medical items and services.

●      You have the right to receive a  Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency  items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests,  prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

●      Make sure  your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at  least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also  ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a  Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

●      If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

●       Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For  questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate,  visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
